Fender ES-RF Robben Ford Esprit MIJ 1993 - 7.89 LBS
Fender ES-RF Robben Ford Esprit MIJ 1993 - 7.89 LBS
The Fender ES-RF Robben Ford Esprit from 1993 was short-lived and has been heavily in demand ever since. This is a standout instrument for a legendary player - Robben Ford. Made in legendary FujiGen factory in Japan, it's a unique piece of Fender's storied history with a signature sound for a Fender and unlike anything else they've made.
This was Fender's take on a Gibson Les Paul style guitar with a 24.75" scale length and 22 frets and was crafted with great attention to detail by Japanese great luthiers. The beautiful cherry sunburst finish with 3-piece maple neck, ebony fretboard, gorgeous split block inlays, and gold hardware are just the beginning of what makes this guitar so special. The chambered alder body with carved spruce top gives you excellent sustain with a very woody tone. The model specific humbuckers are balanced and versatile with a P-90 voice without the hum.
Robben dubbed these Japanese-made guitars his favorite version.
